Frequently Asked Questions
We do heat transfer films for most standard orders. This is sometimes using a base film color, and other times will be custom print color depending on what you need. We will always choose the best method for your artwork – if you need an obscure Pantone, we will print to match that Pantone, not try to find the closest pre-made match like some vendors will do.
If you’re interested in silkscreen, contact us at info@1892chairs.com. We generally recommend silkscreen for orders that are two chairs or more to make the screen setup more cost effective for clients.
Printing a custom directors chair takes about a week. We check stock, clean up the artwork, and will send you a proof with the finalized version to confirm we have the correct layout and colors you want. Once that is complete, we have the printing film made, applied, the edges cleaned, and package your order for shipping.
Yes, we can! This is based on the current workload, so please email us at info@1892chairs.com before submitting your order – we will do our best to accommodate your request and will let you know ASAP. If the production load is full, we are also able to arrange expedited shipping to your location of choice.
Yes, we only use Gold Medal directors chairs and affiliated accessories. With over 125 years of experience, they know what they are doing, and we know we can count on the merchandise being clean, concise, and made the way we expect a century-old brand to be made!
We do not provide fully custom canvas colors on standard orders. The duck canvas cloth that Gold Medal has chosen has consistent dye lots, strength, and quality, and we don’t want to mess with a good formula. We’re happy to work with you on finding the canvas color that is most complementary to your event or logo.
Yes, we can do large quantity orders. Please email us at info@1892chairs.com to verify the lead time and stock – we are happy to do quantity discounts for orders larger than 4 chairs.
For businesses: We can do logo printing services, but not full designs. We can digitize a current logo, clean up edges and colors, or make modifications to your artwork or one of our original artworks. Making a completely new logo that is intended for business use is outside our wheelhouse.
For wedding monograms: We understand that some of the monograms we have on the website might not 100% match your wedding invites or other collateral – we definitely want to help you get as close to picture perfect as we can! Send us a photo of the monogram you have or other wedding details and artwork, and our graphic designers can send you a couple options that are closer to what you have in mind. If you have a wedding website, that helps too!
Contact us directly at orders@1892chairs.com with your invoice number and name. If you’d like us to call you, please provide a phone number you can be reached at. One of our staff will connect with you within 24 hours, and generally more quickly than that during the week.
We want to help you make deadlines, get quality product, and match your business collateral. If there are problems, we want to fix it.
We can match coated PMS colors that are not metallic or neon. Please email us at info@1892chairs.com with your artwork, and we’ll set up a custom chair proof for you with your specified Pantones.
Please note that computer screens can vary widely in display color and brightness, and there may be subtle differences in color from the proofs you receive. If the PMS is specified, we are matching to the official Pantone card, not the rendition. Our Pantone cards are current to the year the order is placed in – please double check with Pantone’s website if you have concerns about the current PMS color card.
Sorry, we can’t at this time guarantee a match for CMYK. 🙁
